Hi guys i wrote a thread a week or so ago because im looking to build a cheap gaming PC for around 300 and im going to go for the Intel Pentium G860 3.00GHz Sandybridge CPU along side a 7850 ATI GPU.
I have been offered 4 GB of OCZ DDR2 PC6400 memory for free by a friend ( and a hdisk ) so i would like to use that memory alongside the above CPU , is this compatiable and if so please tell me which motherboard to go for , the cheaper the better.

Thanks very much for your time and help , it is very much apreciated and please forgive my ignorance :P

Is the HDD SATA?

You won't find many S1155 motherboards with an IDE interface.

Very true! I've kept my AM2 mobo in service as a HTPC as people still use IDE drives and the rigs obviously start to fail now and they want the data back.

The H61 mobo wont have sataIII support. I think the OP is going to be better off looking at an AMD Trinity build.

Once we know what he has and definately needs we can do some spec'ing
