I'm planing on buying a new PC so far I've decided on the CPU "Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 "LGA775 Kentsfield" 2.40GHz (1066FSB)" however I'm pretty lost on deciding the best graphics card and memory to go with it so any advice you could give me would be appreciated.

My Budget is probably £1000 for a cpu, mobo, gfx, mem and case

if thr pc is for games you would be better off changing the cpu to the e6600 and getting the gtx uless you have about 1150 its impossible to have both

I won't be doing any overclocking I'll be using the new pc mostly for games. My monitor is not that good I normally use 800/600 at 75hrz for current games but I do plan on getting a new monitor but not just yet and yes I also need a new psu I totally forgot about that so thanks for reminding me

I've come up with the follow tho this is not definite and I have no idea what memory or psu to get that will work well with the follow?

Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.67GHz (1066FSB) - Retail
Abit AW9D-MAX Intel 975X (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
Asus GeForce 8800 GTS HTDP 640MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail
Lian-Li PC V1100 PLUS Sliver Aluminium Midi-Tower (No PSU)

Gigabyte GA_965P_DS3P (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard

CellShock 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 PC2-6400C4 800MHz Dual Channel Kit

Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 250GB ST3250620AS SATA-II 16MB Cache X2

BFG GeForce 8800 GTX OC 768MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express)

Lian-Li PC-7 PLUS Aluminium Midi-Tower Case - Silver

Then get a nice monitor so you can take advantage of the 8800GTX ;) :D

I already have a Lian-Li PC-7 PLUS Aluminium Midi-Tower Case - Silver for my current system and it is an excellent case but its a bit of a tight fit around the IDE slots because of the harddrive bay.
