Hey,
I have put some spare parts together to build up a secondary system. It consists of the following:

ASUS P5ND2-Sli Deluxe Motherboard
2 x 1Gb RAM
Intel 3.0Ghz P4 CPU

When I switch the system on, I get nothing displaying on the screen but the system speaker emits short continuous beeps until I switch it off. I have tried the following:

- Tried each stick of ram on it's own
- Tried the ram in different configurations with slots
- Reset BIOS using jumper
- Reseated graphics card

I have also looked for the beep codes but theres so many and I have no idea which ones pertain to this specific motherboard

I would be appreciative of any assistance anyone could give me.

Thanks

Regards,
Neil

silly question but you have used copper stand offs? i know that sounds so retarded but ive had this on a machine a friend tried to put together.

Take it out of the case and build on a desk. You could also try a diff psu?

I have just taken it out of the case and placed it on a plastic box lid and it is still beeping. I would try with a different PSU but the only one I have spare is 20pin and does not have the auxillary 4 pin connector so two parts are missing in total

Try no sticks of RAM - does the beeping change?
Try No video card - does the beeping change?
Try no RAM annd no Video card - does the beeping change?
