Hi guys

I just recently installed a fan on the cpu heatsink. Its a thermaltake tt 1225 120mm fan. The problem is that sometimes when I turn on the pc; it starts off and then suddenly turns off for 1 second and then turns on again. It wasn't happening before but now it does sometimes. Any suggestions? :(

That's actually quiet normal - is your new fan a four pin PWM controlled fan? If so it could be that.

Fan starts when PC starts, then stops until the temp rises and then starts again.

Nothing to worry about - just check the temps on your CPU.

I apologise in that I should have been clearer in my post. What I meant was the PC. When I turn on the PC, the PC turns on and then suddenly turns off for 1 second and then turns on again. I would like to know why this happens sometimes since installing the cpu fan?

Hmmm. I don't think there is any thermal paste leakage. Do you think it is possible to do with 12V rails. I mean during boot up process CPU doesn't get enough amperage from the 12V rails as boot up requires large loading on the CPU?

i had this. Unplug everything, plug it back in. it should work..

Thanks Camoe. I actually realised that when I unplug everything and then plug back in; this happens the first time I boot up my PC. But afterwards on second, third and thereafter it is fine.
