PC Broke? Help!

Hiya Everyone

Was just playing some Counter-Strike and my PC was acting extremely slow and the only alternative was to turn it off. So I did and now when I boot it up its suck at "Memory Testing :" on the first page.

The machine is for work only and was

AMD XP 2600
512MB Ram (PC2700?)
128mb gf4 TI

Its got a lot of important stuff on (Goodjob Ive got most of it backed up)

Try some different RAM if it stuck at mem testing stage.

I'm not just getting lots of beeps from the mobo, no display etc with different ram, and changing it around etc

Well I just changed the ram around and its fine, still running at 512MB. Although its fixed Id still like your thoughts if it happens again or just to know what went wrong. Maybe the ram slipped out of place?

Run memtest to make sure RAM is not corrupt.
