Hi, been many years since i last attempted to build a pc, and for that i feel am really behind my knowledge. So am hoping i can get specs from someone etc.

So i need pc that can run games in decent setting and one with high ram. As will be used for my university course, but gaming too likes Football Manager, Call of duty.

My budget will be around 800/1000 mark. Dont need monitor keyboard mouse.

Thanks for reading.

Sorry man, been while since i had pc etc. Resolution 1920x1080. Thays the monitor i have and what it goes to.. hope this helps.

No probs.

I'd also recommend something like this however if you look at penny pinching you can probably save a little in the mobo, RAM, case, and PSU. Then get a 6700XT/6750XT or a 4060Ti. Those cards are only slightly better than a 7600 but if you can save a little elsewhere it would be worth going for the best GPU in budget.

I would change the psu to a atx v3 for future compatability. Its available at other retailers.

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £99.95 (includes delivery: £0.00)

Use the saved money to buy a decent cooler like the peerless assassin for £40ish. This will also be good for any future upgrades.

Alternative hitting your lowest budget. In a small form factor.

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £793.87 (includes delivery: £7.99)

Replace the cooler wih an assassin king for about £20 and your done.

£100 (incl. VAT)
£80 (incl. VAT)
£46 (incl. VAT)
£35 (incl. VAT)

What do you do on the university course?

Alternative build if you need nvidia:

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £926.88 (includes delivery: £11.98)

Use of Intel stock cooler assumed.

Going to be computing/ IT. Be few different programs. But mainly for gaming, may as well kill 2 birds 1 stone. But can't afford mega good gaming. So been looking at what my price can get me roughly.

What I'm getting at, is do any of these apps require an nvidia card? The AMD cards are generally better value (price to performance).
