Hello there all! First of all sorry for yet another post about PC building... but i have been doing a lot of research throughout this last months as to which building a great gaming PC with some Graphic design capacity for around 600£
And i was looking for some validation since this will be my first home built PC

So.
- CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8600
- Motherboard: Asus Maximus II Formula
- GPU: BFG GeForce 9800 GTX+ OC
- Ram: OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-6400C5 OR Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2 (Would like a little guidance here)
- PSU: Cooler Master Real Power M620 620W
- Case: Antec 300
- CPU cooler: Thermalright Ultra-120
- Extra fans: Noctua NF-S12 x2
(I already have The harddrive + dvd reader)

So thats where it stands! i reviewed various parts and i'm looking at this for OC perf and the looks!

Thanx all for the support! Just wanted to have some guidance, tips, and some validation.

I also have windows vista home premium x32 On the hard drive... will i be able to run the new PC on that? Or will i have to buy a new version? And What is the difference between a retail and an oem version?

you going to overclock it > if no then why the cooler,
your buying an expensive board yet cheap memory PC2-6400C5, your better off buying fast memory and a cheaper board PC2-8500C5 .

Swap to one of the P5Q range boards and get a ATi 4870 imo.

Diff between retail and oem versions of windows is, OEM is tied to the motherboard, so if you get a new motherboard you will need a new copy of windows. Retail doesn't have that restriction.

I have done you a spec which I think would be better..;

Just need to add some fans of your choice. Depending on what res you game at, you could always change the 4850 to a 4870.

The 4850 is slightly faster (I think) than the 9800GTX+, but you could always go with the 4870 which is definitely much faster. The P5Q Pro is a very good board and its a lot cheaper than the maximus formula II (which is just a waste of money IMO), and you will be able to get a very good OC with it.

iam an nvidia fan boy and i purchased a ati asus 4850, got that card for under £110.

okay so i changed my e8600 for an e8400... i'm just hopping i wont regret it ^^... Now i'm going to have a play around with that 60£ and see what i can get.
Now considering i'm getting the maximus 2 for 155£
Should i go for the P5Q delux or P5Q pro... if so whats the difference?
Is an EVGA NF780i SLI worth considering? since i really dont want to change from nvidia? for future Sli upgrades?
