Need some help please.
Got an 800mhz celeron bundle off ebay that was tested before postage, and i've plugged it into a harddisk, floppy drive and cd rom drive.
I turn it on, and i get fans but thats it.
No beeps (theres a buzzer on the board), harddisk doesn't spin up, no lights on anything.
I think i can consider the cpu, ram and board known good as this is the condition i bought them in. The rest of it worked in another system.
The board is an hp brio board, but thats all i know about it, i can't find a motherboard manual or anything, no numbers or names on the board.
I have spares of everything except the board, most if it isn't really known good.
The board has a 6pin connector on it which looks like a pci-e power connector labeled 'psu fan'. I wonder if that needs to be connected to enable it to boot?
Usually in these situations the harddisk will spin up and the cd-rom can be ejected, but this doesn't happen.
Any help would be much appreciated.
