PC can't obtain IP address... HELP !

For some reason a pc on my wireless network can longer connect to the network. Everytime i try and join the wireless connection it fails and i end up with some kind of weird 169 IP address. Iv done all the usual ******** including repair/disabling/enabling wireless connection. Iv reset the router about 20 odd times and the problem still persits.

the 3 other Macs in the house all connect to the network just fine (when im running OSX and also Windows via bootcamp) so it must be some kind of setting on the PC ? It's weird because i haven't changed anything, it just decided to stop working one day and it's been like this for about 2 weeks now.

PLS HELP !
 
OK so i just disabled the security on the wireless network and now the pc connects fine...

but when i turn the security back on it won't obtain an IP. Im putting in the security details correctly... but it always stalls on "acquiring network address" and then ends up saying "limited or no connectivity"

WEP security (yes i know its outdated and rubbish but WAP isn't an option unfortunately)

all the swear words ? you mean the grand total of one ? how is the world ******** even remotely offensive to anyone ? how can you be british and take exception to the word ******** ? it's a staple of british culture :p
 
If you're warned it's considered swearing, repeating it another twice isn't a great idea unless you want a free holiday.

If it doesn't work as soon as you enable WEP (not that it's really worth bothering with WEP), there's something wrong with either the key you set on the router or the key you enter on the machine.
 
With that many stars I wanna know whats the word was :p

Im assuming he means he set his wireless to no security.
Delete any settings you have in WZC for the wireless as it is now, reboot PC and router, then manually add all wireless info should have you up and running
