Hi Guys,
I've just built an Intel Core i5 based PC with Windows 7 Pro. The spec is as below:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Kingston 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1333MHz i5 Memory Kit CL9 1.5V
LG GH22LS50 22x DVD±RW SATA Dual Layer & RAM Burner + LightScribe Black Bare Drive OEM
Western Digital WD5000AAKS 500GB SATAII 7200RPM 16MB Cache - OEM Caviar Blue
OCZ Stealth Xtream 500W PSU - 1x PCI-E 6/8pin, 2x SATA 12cm Fan
Intel Core i5 750 2.66GHz Socket LGA1156 8MB L3 Cache Retail Boxed Processor
Gigabyte GA-H55M-UD2H H55 Socket 1156 VGA DVI HDMI Out 8 CHannel Audio ATX Motherboard
PALIT 9800GT Green Edition 1GB GDDR3 VGA DVI HDMI Out PCI-E Graphics Card
Casecom 6788 Black Mid Tower Case with Full Black Interior/Exterior 120mm Blue LED Front Fan
------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've got the PC running and it boots up fine, I've configured it to boot in AHCI mode rather than Legacy IDE mode. The only thing is that I thought it run slightly quicker than it currently is. Can anyone suggest anything that I might be able to do in the BIOS or settings in Windows 7 to speed things up a bit. PS - I'm thinking of Overclocking the CPU (only) to around 3.4GHz in the near future.
Thanks
