hey guys,

this might seem a silly question, but im looking at a controller to use on the PC as an alternative to K+M for certain games..

do I just connect the controller to the USB on the MOBO / Case I/O ?? and will it auto detect and setup?? Or is there apps or setup needed??

Not sure on controller yet but just wanted to find out more atm.

There's a few ways you can do it but it depends on the controller.

- Wired
- Bluetooth
- 2.4G (Would require a dongle, some controllers come with one)

I have an 8bitdo Ultimate (Haal) xbox style controller that set me back around £35, comes with a built in battery, charging dock, and a USB wireless dongle so pretty good value. Works out of the box with everything I throw at it too as it's viewed as an xbox controller, but it does come with some easy to use software if you want to remap buttons etc. Some people prefer other options from the likes of Gamesir but it does depend on what you're wanting to play and to a degree personal preferences.

If you wanted to go for a Sony Dualsense you might run into problems with games recognising it, but there's tools built into Steam and third party apps such as DS4Windows which will be fine 95% of the time.

thanks, i will probably look at a 2.4G one, or wired.. good to know that there is no tinkering needed (unless you want to remap buttons) so keeps it nice and simple.

Using a wireless Xbox pad using a Bluetooth dongle and it works perfect.

It does work with motherboard Bluetooth, but my phone and headphones do not so i started using the dongle and all now work.
