i installed windows 7 beta about two days ago and for some reason i cant even start my pc without the blue screen

ive tried reinstalling the operating system from the disk no luck so far, comes up saying cant install to this partition :( any ideas?

will a kill disk work ? wipe everything off the hard drive then reinstall the operating system

one thing , its a beta , its likely to give your problems, as its not complete yet.

reinstalling everything will prob return you with the same result as the problem is due to hardware incompatibility, since no vendor supports w7 yet.

your in the wild here, and your only hope is to try different drivers for the hardware you have an dhope it agrees with w7.

something isnt agreeing with w7, i would suggest removing hardware that you really do not need.

last thing, its a beta, dont let it get at you.

Process of elimination to determine which piece of hardware is causing the problem would be my reccomendation. Time consuming though.

it crashed after i installed it :( ive fixed it now though, had to use a kill disk, i couldnt enter safe mode or advanced start up :( dont know what happened

Shame to hear that, would probably be worth letting Microsoft know what happened, who knows they might even have a solution if you liked using it that much! Always good to provide feedback on such things.

Would it not be better to partition the drive and install Windows 7 separately from whatever version you used before? I've got dual boot Windows 7 64 bit and Windows Vista 32 bit and both are working fine. But if Windows 7 should fail for whatever reason I know I can always turn to Vista in the mean time.
I have mine installed on separate hard drives but just partitioning a single drive and installing it there is just as good as far as I've been told.
