272MHz to 299MHz is a fair increase in bus speed to not have to change any voltages at all. Not to mention the stock for your CPU is 266MHz not 272MHz.

I'd imagine its your RAM crapping out if you haven't given it any more voltage, as the CPU "should" be able to do 299x7 (2.1GHz), although it might want an extra 0.05v.

Anyway, try knocking your RAM voltage up a notch or two, or alternatively knock down the ratio to slow the RAM down a tad.

Sorry m8 this is still abit new to m8 is there any guides to follow for my setup

Sounds like a silly question, but where can I find the current voltage of my RAM?

I've got a P35C-DSR3, Q6600, 4 x 1GB OcUK DDR2 PC-8500...

...and I'm having stability issues when trying to run the RAM @ it's rated effective 1066Mhz speed.

I've got the Q6600 running @ 9 x 333 = 3 Ghz

However, the RAM doesn't seem to want to run @ 1066 Mhz. I've given the CPU a bit more voltage, as well as the Northbridge (+ 0.1v), but I don't know how much extra voltage to give my RAM because I'm not sure what the current voltage is. Apparently, it's capable of taking 2 to 2.3v.

I've looked in the BIOS and can't seem to find where it lists the current RAM voltage. I can see it lists the CPU voltage, just not the RAM.

Any ideas?
