PC doesn't feel right...

Right, bit of a strange one this.

My PC has suddenly started to feel a lot slower than it used to, it jitters during games which it once handled flawlessly and even whilst using firefox with itunes open etc.

Also, it awoke from sleep mode with the time 20 mins behind today. :S

The only thing I can think of is a bios update I did, but I think I did that after it started to feel slow.

Any ideas?

My system:

Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Asus Crossfire 2
AMD Phenom 955 BE @ stock
4GB OCZ Gold DDR2
XFX Geforce 9600GT
2xWD 500GB Hd
Not a brilliant PSU!

I can't see it being anything to do with either your CPU , RAM or GPU based on your description. I'd bet on it being either your BIOS update (have you tried rolling back) or a hard disk issue??

Think I will try a bios rollback and doing a system restore.

If its having problems keeping the time what about the mobo battery

yep, potentially BIOS can reset to defaults with a dead battery. Sometimes shows a checksum error during POST.

I rolled-back the bios to 2003 and every thing is hunky dory again - how odd?

Need to get a new battery though as I'm still losing time
