Ouch!
You cleared your BIOS by shorting the pins or removing the battery? It could be screwed.

EDIT: Did you overclock it yesterday?
And it's nice when ppl like Billy try to help isn't it?

your pc is ****ed, buy a new one

very helpful.

...

try disconnecting any usb devices you dont need, ive had similiar problems in the past with the bios freezing / dmi pool screen freezing, it was caused by a usb hub i had connected, so take them out and try that.

It's OK. When billy is old enough to drive he'll get a new car when his fails to start the first time... :p

But if you are struggling, just remove the bios battery for a couple of minutes (while powered off), stick it back in and try booting again.
If you are unsure, the battery is about the 10p sized and usually near the bottom of the board.

or his house gets flooded, who needs insurance, buy a new one :D

and depending on your cable management, if like mine pretty bad, getting this out could be a right bugger. you could try setting the cmos jumper to clear that first if its easier, some motherboards have switches to make this easier. take your time though, if you get stuck ask ;)

you havnt knocked the tower by any chance, something simple like that might of just pulled out a connection ever so slightly.

while your in there check everything is snug in place.

ps, thats fine, dont worry about that happening. the cmos battery just stores the date time etc, aswell as your boot up settings, clearing this will have just reset it.
