PC fan placement

I'm building my first PC, and I was planning on having 3 intakes on the front, the top 2 potentially being my AIO CPU fans, however the front of my case has mesh on the bottom half which allows for the bottom 2 fans to draw air in, but the top front fan would be covered by solid plastic.

Would this make the top fan redundant in terms of being able to intake cold air and help cooling or would it still help?

Any help is greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance!

Hi and welcome.

If it's blocked by solid plastic I would say it would be largely pointless putting a fan there as it's not going have much of a way of drawing air in, some cases do have removable blanking panels, are you sure it's not removable?

Nope, it's okay I can get two on the front behind the mesh and theres room for intake at the bottom aswell, so I'm thinking two on the front and one I the bottom as intake, with one on the top and rear of the case as exhaust? My case is an IONZ KZ12. Thanks

It looks like the top fan at the front still has some room in front of it so it'll work to some extent, using the the mesh lower down, so it'll be worth fitting a fan there if you have one as it wont be completely useless.

Yep. Seems like a good plan.
