Hi, I recently installed windows 7 in my new SSD (Samsung 850 evo 250GB) and everything works fine. I get +500mb/s. But something weird happens when I boot the pc. 1 of 4 times I try to boot it freezes. Usually it takes like 10 seconds to boot, but sometimes when windows logo appears it freezes for 20 seconds, the peripherals shutdown and the AE qcode appears on my mobo. After this, windows 7 boots as if nothing had happened. Why does it happen? I realized everytime it occurs I've installed a new software or changed something in windows settings before.

AHCI mode is enabled and the OS is optimized for an SSD from samsung software.

as wazza says check for bios update and maybe do a clear cmos and remove the cmos battery for 30 mins then see if that helps as it might be a bios setting.
