Hi, I have my X2 3800+ clocked at 2.65ghz and it is prime stable for 24 hours and it can run folding@home all day with no problems.
I can go out leaving my pc folding for 12 hours and then when I get back and go on the pc sometimes it will crash within a few seconds/minutes of using it.
It also crashes if I have been using the internet for a few hours.
I changed the cpu to 2.5ghz and it's still crashing but it's fine if I have it at stock speed. Ram isn't overclocked

I was thinking the cpu is causing it but i'm not sure as it's stable when its at 100% load and left alone but crashes only when I am using it.
Any ideas on whats causing my system to crash?

Thanks

Is the temperature of the CPU at acceptable levels?

Try putting back to stock settings and see if it does the same thing.

Temps are fine, 51c load and 33c idle.
When it's at stock speed it's fine but the cpu is stable for prime and other testers when overclocked.

Did you run the torture test?

Run a blend torture test for 24 hours, see what it does then.
