PC freezing issue

Hi need some advice I have a ssd sandisk ultra and it keeps freezing the PC I have to reset the disk is then not found until I power down totally. I have had this issue a few things and end up reinstalling windows. I am now fed up of doing this and thinking the disk is bad. It sometimes goes a few months between developing this problem this time it was 3 weeks.

Ideas on why it keeps happening?

Is the the Ultra or Ultra+?

I was looking for FW updates, there is fairly recent one for the Ultra+ but nothing for the Ultra since last year.
Have you used the toolkit or any other software to check the health of the disc?

Not as yet , can I do this without a fresh install is from bootable media?

Have you looked in your Event Viewer? As this records events, it may give you some info as to what caused the freeze.

Done a fresh install, lol fingers crossed it lasts a while now. There doesn't seem to be any updates for my disk.

check the temp of your CPU. This did happend on me.

This has happened numerous things and in two different rigs, guess it's just a fault of drive I will just have to make sure I'm always backed up and reinstall as required or stump up for a new drive.

Have you tried installing the OS on a hdd partition and seeing if the freezes persist, as it may be something else that is the cause of the freezes.
