PC freezing

Hi guys, over the last few days my pc has started experiencing some issues. The computer freezes and the screen starts flickering with a yellow and blue tint to the background. This is during normal daily use, not while under load. I've checked HWmonitor and the temps look fairly normal considering how hot it is at the moment, idle is around 30-35. The front audio headphone jack has also started to malfunction, with crackling and distortion in the background. The computer boots but then normally crashes within about twenty minutes of use.

For reference I've got a 6700k on an Asus Crosshair Hero VIII motherboard and it's cooled by one of the OCUK Asetek AIOs that came with the bundle OCUK did at Christmas back at the end of 2016. It's powered by an EVGA P2 850w PSU and at the moment there's no GPU in the system.

Other than checking temps I've tried resetting all settings to stock in the bios, but that hasn't helped. It wasn't that long ago that I reapplied thermal paste and reseated the cooler so I can't imagine that's the problem. Is there any other troubleshooting I can do? Does it sound like it could be a faulty motherboard? The combination of the crackling audio and flashing screen makes me think it might be that.

Could be a driver issue, is there anything in the logs about drivers crashing? Try reinstalling the GPU and motherboard drivers. If that fails, you could re-seat the memory, GPU, etc to see if that helps
