PC Gamer or PC Zone magazine?

Ive been thinking of subscribing to a pc games magazine, in the past Ive mostly baught PC Gamer, and a few PC Zones but I just cant make my mind up, wondered if you guys could share your opinions of both magazines?

To be honest, i have a sub to PC-Zone, but most of the stuff in it i already know, as i sometimes read reviews online.
I never get around to canceling the sub though. :p
 
I buy pcgamer they usually have really good demos or really bad ones never in betweens. But i dont buy it for the demos thats what the internet is for its just a great read. Also on internet subject why dont you have a look at Gamespot or IGN there great reads for up to date info :)
 
Wow looks like ive been buying the wrong magazine lol.

Pc Zone it is, I will get the next issue.
 
PC Zone, the writers just seem to have a better style of writing, pc gamer IMO is like the EA of magazines, just rushed.

I agree

PCG is more serious imo, the Zone has a more layed back, poke fun at the industry point of view :)
 
Used to subscribe to PC Gamer but they kept annoying me with various comments and a bit of sexism, so I switched over to PC Zone which I'm liking at the moment :) More entertaining read.
 
neither anymore. i've got plenty of toilet paper already.

i can get the print online and read a lot more during the weekdays than i can get from those mags anymore.

i bought them for years, but there's no need anymore. pointless.

if you want to choose one over the other it varies. if you like listening to a bunch of irritating middle ages blokes going on about drinking, birds, poo, and a bit of games, then go for PC Zone. Otherwise go for PC Gamer which also stars a bunch of middle ages blokes talking about lasses, beer, poo, etc - just possibly a bit more of it. I think both mags now have 'online' sections which try to encapsulate just about everything you can see on the internet. Absolutely pointless.

With the amount of free content on the net whats the point of paying for a magazine!

Save and surf mate ;)
 
Got PC Gamer here up until the last issue, aint bothered now though, its the same every month, crap games getting about 40%, and i dont game on my PC anymore, aint for a long while really, so there was no point getting it anymore, i never even used the DVD's that you used to get either. :)
 
Always liked the humour used in Zone..

but as youve all infered from my first post.. why pay for the mags when you can grab most of it off the net..
 
I would say pc gamer, I've grown up with that mag and the various editors / writers over the years.

Although the only mag I have a sub for is Games TM. Bar far the best magazine I have ever read. Entertaining and funny but with a good eye for the industry. I always read it cover to cover. Edge however, I don't like. Takes itself WAY too seriously.
