PC Gamer or PC Zone magazine?

I always preferred PCG, although I've not read either for a long time.

I always like to buy a magazine. You can get loads off stuff of the net, but its not the same as sitting down with a magazine. You can also read it in the bath :D

I also find myself reading stuff I'd never normally read online, I just wouldn't click the article, but in a magazine, I'm more likely to stop on that page and read some.

back before the net was common place i used to prefer PC Gamer mainly for the CD or DVD

i still bought PC Zone every now and again tho

PC Gamer, although I'm only buying it for novelty value and occasional interesting article (hate to say it but internet is taking over). Magazines must have a tough time producing issues now with not so exciting PC market.

Ive been thinking about gamespy, I was wondering tho, if I sign up to gamespy do I get fileplanet sub with it? as there alll on the same network?

Yes you do and i have but it's rubbish and even as a member you still face some adds and needless confusion, Xfire is free and far better and there are many places you can download for free including Xfire.

PC Zone as they at least mark games fairly based on what they are. Unlike PCG who claimed that the latest version of the Unreal engine on a game they reviewed is old, then mark a game with an even older quake engine higher, singing the praises of the engine

I don't really buy mags anymore, maybe 2 or 3 in the past 7 years. When I did, it was PC Zone, and before that, Amstrad Action (the first mag ever published by Future Publishing).

I've had a sub to Zone for the last few years.

You can't check out game reviews on free sites while you're on the toilet can you? It's also an entertaining read that usually makes me laugh out loud at least a few times per issue.
