To be honest, there isnt much there that shouts out buy me sonsiderign how much a decent rig costs. Out of all of that Live for Speed S3 is my most anticipated game, and i cant play that comfortably on my laptop.

Yeh the pc gaming scene is a bit dead at the mo for new titles.

Think im gonna pick up a copy of BF2142 2morrow tho, gonna give that a go!

Can always play a bit of CS:S!!

Lack of any decent new titles is why i havent upgraded my pc when i usually do, gonna wait maybe 6 months see how things turn out. last game i played on pc was neverwinter nights 2 and while it was a decent enough game, i was disapointed how cr*ppy it played on my x1900xt.

How can you all say that these games are not anticipated? Some of them are amazing... and some of them look stunning... I personally can't wait for some of them... and you know that there are games that are not listed there, well games that are not known about by the public... I personally think that gaming on the PC aint even close to being boring, and my shelf at home looks pretty full with games that I have not played on yet...

I can see this year being a PC gaming revolution

Of course that all depends on what resolution you are playing at. My X1900 XT used to struggly terribly with a lot of things at 1920x1200.

It really is true! I upgraded my computer for the first time in 2 years last month: Bought an E6600 and an x1950xt. The only game I've played on it so far is BF2! OK, it does look absolutely gorgeous and run flawlessly, but I've waiting for a good looking game that isn't Oblivion to test the system out.

Stalker should fill that gap nicely if it is ever released though!

What's the big deal - just play some older games!

I can't remember ever running out of interesting games to play on the PC, unlike say my Gameboy or Megadrive where after amassing 30 or so titles there wasn't really much more that took my fancy.

Even if zero more games were released in 2007 I still wouldn't run out of games to buy.

Don't forget the mods! PC is one of the only platforms you can create a mod for an existing game.

Still on Mods, try PoE2, a free mod for BF2. Very awesome. Or try FEARCombat (not a mod), the free multiplayer version of FEAR. Or why not try CellFactor (use the software emulation mode command: add this to the shortcut on the desktop: EnablePhysx=False). That's always good for a laugh. Why not try the Zombie mod for CSS. Or SourceForts.

Or just download some demos of older games such as Q4, CoD2, or even HL2. 2007 is gonna be a big year for PC gaming, even if it is a slow start.

Gotta agree with that. Some very exciting and interesting games coming this year. To name just a few;

- BioShock
- Crysis (maybe)
- Stalker
- Kane and Lynch: Dead Men
- Half Life 2: Episode 2
- Stranglehold
- Assassin's Creed

And there's loads more...

It's the same every year though - FPS games always tend to dominate upcoming lists because of all the publicity and fancy graphics they generate. It doesn't mean to say that other genre's won't be catered for that year however.

It's going to be a quality year for PC gamers, there's a ruck of games due, everything from Crysis FPS to LOTR Online MMORG. Our generation is going to get seriously sore backsides!
