Good morning! Yesterday i bought a wired Xbox360 controller for PC.
What ganes do you recomend that will show off my new pad? Besides Batman which i intend to buy anyway.
Many thanks!

I use a wireless 360 controller on FSX on my laptop. Much easier to carry around than yoke/rudder pedals/throttle quadrant ;)

There's tons..

Personally, I've played:

Trackmania
Street Fighter 4
Everyday Shooter
Gemoetry Wars
Prototype
Flatout 1/2/UC
Burnout Paradise
Mirror's Edge
I-Fluid
Lost Planet
Madballs in Babo Invasion
Prince Of Persia
Psychonauts
Spectraball
Grid
Assasin's Creed

All which work natively with the pad.
There's a bajillion other games that work natively with it :)

Looking through my Steam games list, I know these ones work out of the box:

  • The Last Remnant
  • Clutch
  • TM United Forever
  • Unreal Tournament 3
  • Assassin's Creed
  • Audiosurf
  • Fallout 3
  • GRID
  • Lost Planet: Extreme Condition
  • Tomb Raider Anniversary
  • Trials 2

But like uv said, theres tons out there. To be honest, I'd be surprised if a game I bought didn't support it.

Any game that has the "Games for Windows" branding is supposed to support the Xbox 360 pad natively.

I can add Tomb Raider Underworld and BioShock.

All racing games.

Devil May Cry
Re Faction Guerrilla
Mini Ninjas
Bionic Commando
Trine
GTAx

I don't actually recommend all of these, but they all work well with a pad. I'd recommend DMC4 and GTA.

Ahh umm stay away racing games with a controller, racing does not go well with a standard keypad controller :D

Only reason I'd use a controller would be if I had a laptop and didn't want/couldnt' use a mouse!

Call of Juarez and L4D works from what I've tested with the 360 controller, but COD4 MW doesn't - Natively anyhow.

bear in mind that relatively few racing games "natively" support the 360 pad in that very few have rumble support and dead zones set correctly. From memory the following applies. Gold = native support out of the box, no messing, silver = limited support, may need tweaking, bronze = heavy tweaking and/or no rumble.

Gold:- Grid, Dirt, Flatout UC, Sega Rally Evo, Fuel

Silver:- NFSS, NFSUC, Trackmania (dont think rumble works)

Bronze:- all the Simbin titles, earlier NFS games. TDU (though some people claim to have rumble working). Earlier ToCA games

Feel free to add/correct.
