Hi all,

My trusty gaming computer has unfortunately died (it was purchased in 2016 so has had a good life).

I would really appreciate anyone casting an eye over the components below and offering any changes or advice. I already have a large case from my large build which I am planning on reusing.

in comparison to your spec:
better gaming cpu
better (faster) ram
don't need a 1kw psu, 850w is fine for a 2070ti super/2080 super if pairing with ryzen
2tb ssd with dram cache instead of 1tb w/o dram cache - games these days getting larger so 2tb definitely useful
seagate offering £2 cheaper, and with 3 year data recovery + 5 year warranty, wd only offering 5 year warranty (both are cmr drives, none of that smr bs lol)
cheaper gpu, 5 year warranty included if registered within 30 day of purchase
newer generation aio cooler
still ends up cheaper :)

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £1,910.92 (includes delivery: £0.00)

This computer will just be used for gaming.

I'll echo @tamzzy and say that AM5 is the way to go right now.

1 X Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER Eagle OC 16GB GDDR6X PCI-Express Graphics - £869.99

How important is RT to you? Because the Radeon GPUs are competitive for raster performance.

1 X WD 4TB Red Pro 7200rpm HDD 256MB Cache Internal NAS Hard Drive (WD4003FFBX) - £136.99
SKU
: HD-555-WD

Use the money @tamzzy is saving you to get a SSD instead.

AIOs offer no benefit over air coolers on AM5 (but do for Intel):

There back.

I can sell you an AMD R9 390+free game for £250. ;)
I still have mine sitting in a draw.

It was retired last year when it started becoming far too loud and could only control it via AMD software or Afterburner.

This was after giving the gpu a good clean and re doing the thermal paste on it
