*** PC Gaming - Daily Deals Thread ***

It's GMG website that is the issue. Not user error. Their system that stores your session is probably naffing up the purchase mechanic for that particular game. Because of that it will work fine for other users who haven't run into the error.

Had it happen to me for the DMC4 for a £1 deal. Could buy other games, but it wouldn't let me purchase DMC4. Contacted their CS via ticket and of course by the time they had responded the deal was over...

Thanks for that explanation, yes I knew it wasn't an error on my part and a glitch in their system, never had anything like this happen on any other site, they really need to sort out their website it will just lose them sales, btw did you try both paypal and debit card to pay for DMC4?

When I go to get a game the amazon voucher does not get automatically applied at the checkout. Still shows as $9.99.

Strange as I did get the email from amazon saying [FONT=verdana,arial,helvetica][SIZE=-1]"Your recent order entitles you to a promotional credit which we have added to your account. This credit can be applied to your next qualifying purchase".

Do you have to click "Complete purchase" first?

I'm not sure, in the same situation. Got the e-mail, however it doesn't apply during the checkout.

The T&Cs from the e-mail (here) seem to state that "2. The benefit for this promotion will not be reflected on the final order checkout page. The merchant will apply any benefit after your order has been processed."

Still seems like a bit of a gamble.

Thanks for the advice. I'm just trying to work out how much i'll be charged by my bank.
Strange as when i've used my HSBC account in the past via paypal (funds coming from account not card) i have never been charged a fee. However using my Natwest card the other day via Amazon to purchase Tomb Raider, i was charged £1.

Iv'e never played CIV 5 but after seeing the gold edition for £5ish with the voucher code I thought it was worth the punt.
