Anyone who bought the Gothic pack had any problems getting Gothic 1 to load up? Every time I click new game from the menu it crashes with an access violation. You would think Valve or the Publisher would check these games work with modern system before putting them up for re-release.

You could try to disable the steam overlay, I think that has caused some people issues. Another is to set the gothic exe to run as admin.

Has anyone seen Fallout 3 or Fallout: New Vegas (prefferably with DLC) cheap anywhere? :)

Steam had New Vegas for £3.74 and subsequent individual DLCs for £0.99 a few months ago. Keep checking, though that offer was only on for a few hours before they doubled it in price, might've been a mistake.

I trid as admin but that didn't help. How do I go about stopping the steam over-lay? I tried closing steam in the task manager and it shut down the game as well. Still seems bad having to do this though, not having much luck with Steam at the moment. I'm running Win 7 if that makes any difference, there's lots of others having the same problem and just starting on Gothic 3.

Right click the game the go to properties, uncheck "enable steam community in-game",

Rage at £4.97 - registers on steam, but has to be collected in store. Still tempted though!

Nearest stock 16 miles away, maybe not then :p

I posted it like 2 days ago. :p

Don't forget to use quidco for 1.5% cashback, I know it's not much but it all adds up.

TBH I stopped using Quidco with low value items, it all adds up... to pennies and not worth the effort if half of it doesn't track.

trolling surely?

Was expecting someone to say

Well you can find it for 4.97

and my response would have been:

I said I want it cheap :P

Yeah, poor trolling attempt

I saw GTA:IV Episodes from Liberty City for 3.74 at GMG (saw it on Hot UK Deals).

It also said there are these promotional codes.

10% off- BRING-ALLUR-GUILD, 20% off, PROMO-FESTI-VAL20, 33% off - HALFT-ERMHO-RRORS

According to the ad, it activated on STEAM

Activates on Steam. PC only. Requires internet connection to activate.

but people are saying it is not.
