OMFG Games for windows live is still the worst thing ever. I just want to play!

An update is required for windows live. Ok, download it. but no, I need to exit the game first. The game then tells me I haven't logged in yet and I need to to save my progress. Sigh. I know. Close game. 10 seconds to update. launch game again. An update to batman AC is required. OK, update it. You need to exit the game. You haven't signed into a profile. You must sign into a profile to save the game. I KNOW!!!!!! Exit game. Update installed. Try to play game. Despite the FOUR TIMES I've logged into windows Live it STILL doesn't remember my details, DESPITE me saying to remember them FOUR TIMES ALREADY!!! Sign in eventually. Previously my profile was downloaded in about 5 seconds. So far it's taken 4 minutes. has it really, magically increased in size with a simple update?!?! I JUST WANT TO PLAY!!!!! And breathe.

But Total War:Shogun 2 is still cheaper at play:

Along with:

Syndicate-£12.99@Play

never played the total war games are they hard to get into?

I'm finding them hard to get into, but my mate swears by them. Once you get into the battles etc, then they really pick up. It's all the building of armies, forts etc that can seem very dull, to me anyway.
Have you played Civilization or any other strategy games? If you like them, then you'll like total war.

I'm in the same boat, I know maybe 12 folk who love these games, but I'm weird when it comes to getting into games, think I'm on my 4th attempt of trying to get into Crysis after buying it nearly two years ago.

  • The Witcher
  • Batman: Arkham Asylum
  • Batman: Arkham City
  • Civ 5

Battles are particularly rewarding in MTWII and Shogun II, I'm not a fan of Empire though as I just couldn't get into that title at all.

Nothing like ordering a siege on Milan and watching as 5000 men fight it out :D Being able to order and zoom in on individual units is great fun during sieges!
