*** PC Gaming - Daily Deals Thread ***

was just looking around on games site at some cheap games and found
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II for £9.99 which is the cheapest i'v seen still I got it for free using my reward points :)
just an update still looking at cheap games ;) and found Call of Duty: World at War as well for £9.99 on most other sites it was 30pound still lol

Let us know if that star wars game is any good please. I played the first one on the PS3 and thought it was abit clunky (although its quite old now I suppose)

Weekend deal on steam is up with 2 different indie bundle deals with 80% off. Says "buy 2 for the price of 5".

Indie variety pack is £6.69 and has the following games:

Capsized, ARES extinction agenda, atom zombie smasher, machinarium and swords and soldiers HD

India action pack is £6.79 and has AaAaAA!!! A reckless disregard for gravity, Gridrunner revolution, Metal drift, Starscrape and Zombie driver

I ordered Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit on the 13th, but it's now the end of the 16th and it hasn't dispatched yet. This isn't what I'm accustomed to, has anyone else's dispatched yet?

Fear, Fear 2 and all the DLC is the Steam weekend deal (£9.99). Would anybody recommend it? I played part of the first Fear on a mate's PC and liked it. Anybody played through the second or any of the expansions?

Its good value for a lot of content and also a no brainer if you plan to get FEAR 3 which comes out next friday. FEAR 1 is abit dated now from a graphics point of view but the scares are still some of the best impimented. FEAR 2 is more of an action game than a horror but its story closely ties in with the new game and has some quite memorable parts.

Both games (plus the DLC) are solid shooters and the actual DLC are expansion packs with a decent amount of content in each, not just some 5 min run around jobbies.

I finished Fear...for the first 2/3 hours it was just brilliant, guns and combat were so much fun and the A.I. was excellent. Unfortunately then I realised that all the levels are pretty much copy and paste and the story was a bit trash.

True, gets vastly better towards the end though if you can endure it! Soon as you hit the offices and then the arkham labs things start to get interesting (new enemies, better weapons and vastly scarier in general lol)

I quite liked it, very fast paced/low health... a decent arena shooter IMO, not that I've ever gone back to it after playing for an hour :p

The is a single player component but it's pants

Just to say that capsized game in the first of the indie bundles is a right little gem. Superb game. Atom zombie smasher looks abit crap from a graphical point of view but the gameplay is rather fun although gets very hard quickly but remains strategical throughout. Not tried the other 3 games yet but on those 2 alone it was worth the £6 odd.
