looking at the valve pack BUT it looks like i wont get extra copies of games i already own which seems unfair

is this true? i only really 'need' portal 2 from this pack which is cheaper to get on its own (wanted to buy the pack knowing that i could give/sell the extra games to friends but it looks like this wont be the case)

and how good is the coop now, i have already played/completed the coop 'privately' twice but would like to purchase the game so i can replay it with others so what im asking is how popular is the coop now the games been out for a while?

I assume you can read, so why are you doubtful about this?

They only give extra copies in rare deals, as stated here - https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=4502-TPJL-2656.

it just seems really unfair thats all, so i was wondering if anyone on here has bought this pack and got the extra copies anyway despite getting this message (like maybe is was a mistake or something)
i just don't see why steam would 'refuse' to give you games you pay for just because you own them already?
if you bought a games 'deal pack' from a shop knowing that you have some of the games already they wouldn't take the extra game 'away' from you if they knew you owned them already. Silly really :p

Create a new steam account, buy the Vavle complete pack and gift yourself the games you want then do as you wish with the rest.

i thought about this but i don't think you can split them, if you put the pack onto a new account then all will be added and if you buy as gift i think you can only 'gift' the 'pack' as a whole
 
Not really a 'daily' deal but for anyone who missed the portal 2 for £13. Its gone down to £12 in Cex for the game. I will also state that they are not used copies as you might expect. In the shop they are all stated as being sealed when transfered in and have not a single mark on the disc. Bought a couple for some coop with the mrs and others and they all work perfectly.
