Is Dirt 3 much prettier graphically than Dirt 2?

Dirt 3 is slightly prettier than dirt 2, but there's not much in it. The main additions are weather effects in some of the events like snow and rain.

Despite that, Dirt 2 is a much superior game. Better presentation, much better advancement system: where you can unlock new races, etc., even if you do really badly, through an achievement system that gives you points for destroying scenery, having crashes, as well as things like winning - it rewards good players most but poor players can still advance and don't get frustrated. I have no idea why that was dropped in dirt 3, it was the best thing about dirt 2.

Dirt 3 also has the gymkhana system which a lot of people don't like, including me, including some races where it's required to advance (which were frustrating and boring for me). To include that, they dropped a lot of events from dirt 2, so if you don't like gymkhana, there's a LOT less variety in dirt 3 than 2.

Here ends this mini review :)

Oh yes, the previous video reminded me: the music is much better in dirt 2.

Personally I think Dirt 2 looks better, but only because there are more effects going on, Dirt 3 looks much "cleaner".

I have a bunch of screenshots up if you want to look:
Dirt 2 / Dirt 3

My favourite shot from Dirt 2:

Looks almost pre-rendered to me.

Miss the London level that was in that video! I do have a copy a mate "acquired" on the high seas. Think I'll take the 2 quid punt later.

Considering I've had to spend nearly £20 on chocolate for relatives this week; £2 for hours of fun is worth it. I also miss the MG metro, think it handled better in Dirt 2.

Had a great laugh yesterday with dirt 3 playing jamming sessions and infected mode with around 6 of us on AV Forums.
My GFWL ID is Majnu 007, let's get some games going here :D

...and were before but with pre-order bonuses before, and with the 20% voucher not applying yet either, now isn't the optimum time to buy
