I was hyped for the release trailers, then it came out and from what I saw it was "meh", some parts were buggy and animations (or lack of) were like a game from 10yrs ago.
I may be wrong, but it is Ubisoft so I wouldn't take that bet.

Is the GOTY edition worth it for a casual player? I enjoy a blast around NFS Heat at the moment when I get bored of CSGO or BF, but wanted to give a rally game a go. Controller only.

your call. it's what I got (and it cost me a lot more than a pint of beer) but end of the day you get a lot of content with base game. personally I am a bit OCD I hate owning parts of games even if ultimately I don't play the extra stuff (I am a bit odd I guess )

you are in for a treat esp if you have not tried modern vr before.

I have the PS4 and PSVR but only played a bot of GT in VR. It's just a pain playing in VR on it.

So feel the Q3 is gonna be loads bearer, both stand alone and on PC. Spec wise my PC will be able to handle it easily.

you would have to be speed running to do it in that. I am over 6 hours in and not finished yet. that said I agree not £20.
I paid... I can't remember but it was probably around £3 or so and it was worth that.

That's more in my impulse buy price range !
Same dev as Steamworld, dig 1&2 were fun on the deck, didn't get into the later heist games though.

just grabbed dirt rally goty just to give it a whirl in vr.....don't normally bother with driving games but this looks great even on my ancient vega64 and q2 so might have to actually play it. shame i've only got a controller atm.

Three rounds of approx 2mins30secs each, starts with 60 racers, final 20 eliminated each round. Mix of online players and bots, not sure of balance between both at mo.

Very simple concept, power ups can be fired ahead or behind, very addictive.
