*** PC Gaming - Daily Deals Thread ***

Annoyed that the XCOM deal was only for yesterday, just gone through the faffing of connecting my steam account to them, and essentially will get sod all out of it if it expires on monday anyway, and doubt owt will interest me tomorrow.

Settlers 7 just a few quid on get games....worth it?

For a few quid I would give it ago myself as I haven't played a Settlers game since the original when I owned an Amiga 1200. I checked out some of the user reviews on metacritic and was initially put off but most its because there's a bunch of people were scoring the game zero and one because of Ubisofts DRM. I don't know what the DRM is (uplay?) but if you can live with it the players that have played and not bitching about DRM seemed to like it.

What's the best Settlers game? I'm interested, but i am not going to buy all of them for a try!!!

It’s very odd on Get Games on my desktop Settlers 7: Paths to a Kingdom shows as £4.99 but on my phone it is $3.74…….must think I'm in USA on my phone….anyway bought for the cheap price!!

That's strange, maybe it's a pricing error and it's been fixed? Showing as £4.99 for the base game for me now on both phone and desktop which is a shame as I totally would've bought the deluxe edition for that price but £6-£7 is too much really for a whim. Checking isthereanydeal.com shows £3.74 as the price though and £4.99 for the deluxe edition so it must be a region thing :(

Maybe it'll go cheaper in the Steam sale, hopefully.

Its still showing the dollar price on my phone...I'm connected to the same internet connection as my desktop.....I think I have noticed it before.....I have a nexus 4 and going to to getgamesgo.com seems to think my phone is in USA....or maybe its a mobile site or something....

Blarghs just checked my bank, Santander charge £1.25 for non stirling purchases :(
Can't even remember what I bought but it was more than it should have been lol

Whats the general consensus on South Park? Is it worth the punt at £15? I've heard a few people say that its too easy and too short, even at that price. Whats the thoughts?

It's a great game and well worth its full retail price.

If you can afford to spend £15 on a game or not is a question only you can answer.

Well its not so much a matter of expense, more a matter of time. I'm always pushed for time and its that lack of time which means that I have to choose my games carefully , otherwise I buy them and they just sit there unplayed unless they are particularly good

Unless something is at a bargain price and/or 'can not be missed' price, I'd hold fire until after the sales, just in case. With more online code retailers I can see some nice competition next week sale wise (hopefully)
