People getting the free XCOM from GMG. Just a note that if you play it and just do the first tutorial mission and have your Steam account linked with their site, you'll unlock a Steam achievement and GMG will give you a code for 80% off Enemy Within (so you can get it for £3.99).

Will this work if you already have xcom from somewhere else?

I am still waiting :( must have done something wrong?

Made cvg account, did the vote and then register on the above link ? Anything I missed it out?

It didn't work for me either, at least not yet. I followed the information on CVG, so I voted then checked the information on CVG which said you'd need a Playfire account so I went and created one of them. Apart from the email to verify my CVG account I've not heard anything from them. It does say however on CVG that the game won't be claimable until the 23rd Oct so I imagine they would send out an email around then to those that voted.

Just upgraded my graphics card (280x) and looking for a new game to play. Been out of PC gaming for a while, any idea what decent cheap good looking game I can get? Don't really want to spend more than £10.

Over the weekend Steam are offering 10 games for free, obviously only for the weekend but you could give them a go and see if you'd like to then buy some of them.

Shadow Warrior (2013), £9 at kinguin. Super game, quite pretty
Both Metro games are around £3, also at kinguin. Both will tax your GPU
