Question about G2A.com.

When you check out it asks you for your location so they can charge you VAT. Does everyone actually do this or is there a problem if you select the no VAT option? I don't mind paying the VAT but I don't want a problem if I don't.

Also I thought you weren't meant to sell Steam gifts? Won't that cause problems if I buy one from someone on G2A? I'm a bit wary of using the website to be honest.

I've used Kinguin in the past and it seemed to work OK so I guess G2A will also probably work. I'm just cautious.

You'll be fine with VAT, they just have it as an option so they don't run into trouble with the law. I've bought a few gifts myself before, can't say I've had any issues, most of these websites use similar supply channels.

I've always used the UK VAT option, purely because I don't know how Steam will react if I try blag a RUS/CIS copy and 240+ games is a lot to risk in a Steam ban for the sake of £1 or £2.

Don't think there is an issue persay with the Steam gift as it is basically a Steam code that you could have been gifted anywhere, it doesn't have to be through Steam. The only issue is if the gift doesn't exist and you get fleeced. That said any key selling website is a risk but we all take that risk in the knowledge we may get ripped off.

The VAT amount is a different question from the region a game is based. I wouldn't touch a RUS version of any game. But I do sometimes 'forget' to change the VAT option to 20% and it stays at 0%.
To be honest, I'd like to see these CD Keys site's VAT returns to make sure they do actually pass on the VAT amount to the correct governments.
