PC gaming is back on the high-street!

Southwest England... where we're always forgotten about.

Hopefully we'll see something in Plymouth city centre since we have TWO GAME stores and the only PC seller is Maplins.

Good luck, hopefully it works out for both company's!

It's nice to see it happening but I really can't see it making any difference. They will see what it cost's for a system that's comparable to yours and then keep on buying their £300 consoles.

This is good but yet disappointing news.

Great Idea as it exposes "Proper Gaming" to console gamers xD

disappointed that No Northern Ireland Game Stores are on the list. In the mainland there are a lot of PC Stores where u can see Hardware first hand before you buy. However over here in N.I we got the awesome selection, or should i say no selection unless you like paying a 20-50% premium purchasing stuff from PC World. LOL

Agree its too little too late. I can't see them expanding the pitiful PC Games section which is often hidden away in expense of the console displays.

not sure why some negative comments, but i think its a great idea, not a lot of kids get to own or play on a gaming pc as all they know is consoles.

It's good that the gaming PCs really are gaming PCs - they don't default to a sub-gaming GPU or anything. No configuration options, which keeps it nice and simple, and usable straight out of the box, subject to keyboard and mouse. Like it.

Never shop in Game, though. Awful, soulless, place :D

I just lost a lot of respect for you guys teaming up with this awful company.

What next deal with Currys/PC World

You are clearly not looking at the bigger picture here. This is a great opportunity to initiate Overclockers UK systems onto the high street and expand.

It won't happen overnight, but with some education and with the current trend of PC gaming, having something in place like this is fantastic and more so accessible now too.

Nice - didn't see that coming at all!

come to think of it, I can see from the picture that it's a watercooled PC you are displaying, maybe you should think about having PC's on display that look dead easy to assemble. This may help persuade clueless parents to get their children a PC from Overclockers?

Yeah, this could be quite a good opportunity for you guys - could maybe run "PC building" workshops a couple of times a year to show how easy it actually is to build a PC? Encourage people to buy components and then pick them up at the workshop and build their own PC with an expert on hand to give pointers and help them with any problems they might encounter.

I can see a bit of a downside though - every time I've been in a Game store, the majority of staff haven't exactly been experts (which isn't necessarily meant as a criticism, as it's basically a retail job). Not so much an issue with console games/hardware, as if it says "PS4" on the box, it's going to work on a PS4... however if you have people coming in wanting to build a PC and they start asking staff technical compatibility/performance questions then you're going to want to have them trained properly!

Unless you're just going to be selling preset "kits" or even just pre-built systems?

Shame no Birmingham store :p

Please sort their website out - it's utterly abismall!

I'm on the fence about this. Is this just a marketing strategy for OcUK to advertise the OcUK brand on the high street and beyond?!

I was stood looking at the PC stuff in GAME just tuther day thinking I wonder if they intend on expanding the range as the section has been moved to a more prominent spot in store.

Also... Now you're in bed together does this mean we can now chat about GAME deals & we can expect Discounts for Forum members etc ? :p

Either good effort 5UB
