Bone: The Great Cow Race

There's loads of amazing games from 1990-2000. So what I'm doing is going back and playing all the ones I missed.

BioShock is the next PC game I'm looking forward to, but other than that, there isn't an amazing amount for me personally to get excited about in the near future. Alan Wake, perhaps, and maybe one or two others.

ok so one days releases of games means the whole pc gaming industry is going to hell /drama queen.

How about you look at the massively successful games currently out, and the ones in development.

But haven't you heard, PC gaming is dying, console games are taking over....

(been at least a week since the last OMFTWOGD PC gamer R DED ThreadS)

these useless duplicate threads are worse than the old STALKER ones, they never bring anything new to the table and should be deleted

I don't agree. This is a subject that needs to be constantly addressed, as the market is ever changing....

HL2: Episode 2? I'm certainly looking forward to that - as a matter of fact, it's one of the two games I'm waiting for this year - that and Crysis :)

The real problem is the amount of time money and effort required to make a really "good" game these days is far greater than it was say, 10 years ago. The result is longer delays more hype and generally (due to the hype) more dissapointments.

For example i reckon crysis, while it looks pretty (but won't even run as pretty as the videos shown on current gen hardware) will by like farcry: a revolution in graphics with generally lackluster gameplay to back it up. I do hope i'm wrong, but in either case i'm looking forward to bioshock and alan wake more.

The same does apply in the console world too - look at the complete lack of recent releases for the PS3 and to a lesser extent the 360 compared to the game-a-week that the PS1/2/N64 experienced.

Heh don't forget that soon they're bringing out a massive collection for; police quest, space quest and leisure suit larry. All great games from the past and a great laugh!
