I recall watching this pattern several times over the last decade or so.
PC gaming falls off slightly each time a new generation of consoles comes out. But a console doesn't get better as time moves on - you have to wait for the next one. PCs continue to improve, and as the novelty factor of new consoles wears off, the PC market bounces back.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who has a house full of older games they haven't got round to playing yet. Just wish I had the time!
I bought a Wii recently, because I was intrigued. Great bit of kit, but at the moment it makes the PC's selection of new games look like an embarrassment of riches. Especially since one of the few new releases to get decent reviews has now been banned!
