PC Gaming Standards

Hi guys, I've registered so you can provide some feedback directly to me, if you have any comments good or bad please let me know.

Just thought I'd mention about UT2004 that widescreen (horz+) support is expected to be automatic, while UT2004 you have to change your FOV manually to the right values in order get Horz+

For exact details for pass/fail criteria check the standards page linked off the menu :)

And Id say that Alt Tabbing in GTA4 kicking you from a network game should be a fail..

Nice site though. should work well as a first port of call for a gamer wanting to get AA or AF or Widescreen working on a game that doesnt support it.

SpudMaster, I can't check all games since I have a limited amount of money for buying games and time/resources, so some games are checked by other people, obviously mistakes are made from time to time, but I try and correct them where possible.

I will check into GTA 4 and correct where applicable, thanks for pointing it out.

Skeeter I would say getting kicked from a network game is a bug, alt tab is really just to see if the game can lose focus and let you back to your desktop, then recover back into the game which it can, but obviously with some problems. It does need addressing for sure, but there is a limited scope I can cover with the site and I can't really go into the territory of bugs, theres just way too many of them :)

Apologies for the sig, just used to setting that without checking, i've changed it.

Great site - have bookmarked - One suggestion that may make thing even more useful is maybe posting O/S compatibility - Good example of this is Sacred 2 as it claims to be compatible with Vista 64 on the box and post patch 2.43 it's not fully and even worse the patch totally killed win 7 native support

A very quick update, the site had its first recorded live visit on August the 4th which means it's now 2 months old today, I've been keeping an eye on my stats and this morning it's broken the 10,000 views milestone I set for myself. Thanks for everyone who has taken the time to visit and give me feedback and suggestions for the website, I read them all and have a big update in the works to bring you some of the most requested features.

Big thanks to anyone who took time out of their day to research a game and submit the details, remember to add your name in the submit form to be added to the contributors list on the about page, thank you!

PCGS is now a year old, I've gone back and added a bunch more games recently and will be adding more over the coming weeks, just a quick bump to let you know we're still here :)

awesome site - wil bookmark. framerate cap would be nice to track too, even though not many games have it, luckily (can think of command and conquer games, split second, re4)

Thanks guys, I made the thread about a year ago when the site launched, I just wanted to come back and let you know i've improved the site a bit. Thanks for your support.
