I've yet to encounter a game that has a walk mode if you attach a controller and doesn't have a walk mode if you don't attach a controller. That's a very strange game design. Who would make a game like that and why?
Are there any other PC titles which are best played with a controller?
I play pretty much anything third person with a pad, menu based RPGs, action games and the like
Splashed out on a Series X wireless pad a couple months back myself and it's a great improvement in terms of playing comfortably compared to my old wired 360 pad. That said it absolutely chews through batteries
I think I binned all my rechargeables ages ago when everything moved to having inbuilt batteries. I'll have to look at buying some againTrick is to get yourself 4 rechargeables so you can rotate, with a high mAh rating. Last a lot longer than standard cheapo AA's.
It just depends on the game... FPS is basicaly imposible on a pad.
Agreed if you turn off aim assist. Otherwise, it's just release left trigger / iron sights, squeeze left trigger / iron sights to automatically lock on. So dull!It just depends on the game... FPS is basicaly imposible on a pad.
It does feel good apart from the aim assist, much too strong by the default setting anyway. Feels ok with m & kb after playing for a while.I've heard that RDR2 is great with a controller. I'm going to give that another try... I always felt the M+K to be off with that game.
My other main gripe with using a controller apart from aim assist, is having to click the left stick down to sprint! Man that's so annoying, much prefer to use the old pinky on the shift key.I've yet to encounter a game that has a walk mode if you attach a controller and doesn't have a walk mode if you don't attach a controller.
