I've been running two geforce 7950gt cards (in sli of course
) One of the cards has gone bad. Thought I'd use this as an excuse to upgrade....Was looking at getting (balancing cash here) a 9800gt (1 gig mem) card. On one site it says pci-e 2 slot required. I don't think my mobo (MSI k9n sli...nforce 570 chipset) supports the later pci-e 2 slots. Does this mean the above card won't run on my pc?
If it will...I'll assume I won't be getting full benefits from it & therefore wonder if it would run no faster than a lesser pci-e card.
BTW....two 7950gt's in sli mode...or one card of the above type (or other more fitting for my mobo)...which would be faster? (athlon64 x2 dual core 6000+ processor btw)
TIA..Andy. Oh & first post so hi!
