well ive tested 2-3times now and the ram's fine apparently. I can try the fans yeah, However i just think it's the motherboard. And some fault with sata

took the entire computer out of the case rebuilt turned on. Firefox instantly kept crashing over and over. Then the pc just locked up.

looked at the motherboard closely, near the Sata port's thee are 2 pic chips, both have a glossy brown mark around the dimple of the chip. Fried chips?

Sorry to come in so late, but when you get the board back, suggest you up the VTT voltage and possible memory voltage a tad, say 1.1 -1.15v VTT and 1.58V memory. Seen a lot of issues with that board and 16Gb of RAM.

Just don't understand, i'm completely defeated on this problem. Over my 8 year's of building pc's I've never come across something like this.

Only thing unchanged:

PSU
CPU
