Hello, i bought this PC Tower from overclockers just under 2 years ago,

AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Eight Core 3.7ghz
16bg ram
X470 Aorus Ultra gaming-cf
Radeon RX Vega 56 8gb

I have issues of sound stutter when watching any type of videos, eg Netlix. youtube etc, when this happens the mouse will skip across the screen at the same time, i have tryed anything i can find on this issue to get it sorted and have even returned the Tower to overclockers but it came back the same.

While gaming it seems a lot better but will do the noise every now and again but nothing like watching videos. To Be honest this is probably the worst machine i have ever bought.

Anyone have any other suggestions to the cause of the problem or should i just bin the dam thing and get something else.

Thank you.

Gonna ask some obvious questions are all the drivers up to date ? Gpu and motherboard.

Do you have the latest bios for your motherboard?

Sometimes a fresh install of Windows and drivers can resolve a lot of issues.

Did you try the mouse in a diffrent usb port?

Sounds like a software issue. I would recommend checking and updating all drivers, make sure there are no registry issue too. If none of that works I would recommend a fresh install of Windows. If it still happens after that I can arrange an RMA to look at the GIGABYTE parts.

Checked the Registry and it did something, now looks like my GPU going nuts, constant stuttering and mouse lagging.

hello.
I would advise you start testing individual parts one at the time.
Do cpu test. Record temp, and voltage with hwinfo.
do mem test with memtest software. atleast one pass.
Do Gpu stress test. again record temps and power draw.

something bount to fail. ant it will narrow down your search.
u might have psu issues but thats yet to be seen.

diagnosing pc tower issues is all about eliminating individual parts one at the time.

I've lost count of how many tests I've done, you just get to a point where you can't be bothered anymore.

I've requested an RMA and if it comes back again with the same issue I'll just have to launch it out a cannon and get something else somewhere.

Let's just hope it can be cured.
