Pc just keeps on restarting

@moot-The i5s seem decently priced,But ive been going with intel for the past 3 systems now,it will be intresting to see how the bulldozers perform against Sandbridge.

@arC...no not that i know off,Cant really see what they could do anyway?

YAY! i found out why!

Its because there were no fans plugged into the mobo at all,as i had re-routed them all to a new fan controller i brought,So the bios must have detected there were no fans running running via the motherboard and shut off right away.
Even though there was fans running because i have them hooked to a fan controller :D

So looks like il have to keep one fan hooked to the board or it wont boot.

thanks for your help anyway guys appreciate it a lot....im glad i dont have to get a new mb.

Wooooooo :D! It's always the smaller stupid things like that that cause people to be stumped when it comes to booting errors. Glad you fixed it.

Well done on resolving that.

The newer boards leave a nasty message on your screen advising that there is no cpu fan attached even though you may have one plugged into another fan header. In the end, to shut it up, I switched port to get past it. I could have disabled the message in the bios but it seemed a little silly as I'd probably like to know if the cpu fan stopped working!
