My PC seems to keep frying headsets I have gone through two Sennheiser PC360 and a Steelseries Siberia in 2~months what happens is the mic seems to stop functioning as a mic? for example if I use these headsets now and play music the people on skype with me can hear the music but not my voice first I thought it was the audio jacks so with the last headset I also bought a USB soundcard and plugged the headset into that but also this mic also broke so now I'm lost does anyone have any idea to what may cause this?

Tried them on my laptop and they don't work the headphones part works but the mic part doesnt
