Hi all,
Not too sure what to do with this, I have looked into the error logs and the only relevant one is:
"Some processor performance power management features have been disabled due to a known firmware problem. Check with the computer manufacturer for updated firmware."
This problem normally happens during gaming, but it can also happen when the PC goes into Standby mode.
A quick google suggests that it could be caused because the BIOS needs updating for use within Windows 7, now the ASRock website has no updates to suggest added compatibility (and that is a new one on me!) However, the previous owner of the PC (a work colleague) had no problems running Windows Vista... I also have no floppy disk drive in this PC, so updating would be a nightmare, unless it can be ran from a flash drive (which I don't think they can??)
I am running Vista Ultimate x64 with all available updates applied.
This is doing my head in how
, what can I do to sort it?
Thanks in advance
Edit: might be better in the hardware sections!?!?!
