PC keeps locking up

My PC keeps locking up when doing general tasks. For example, I will just be browsing the internet and the whole PC will lock up for 3-4 minutes at a time and I won't be able to move the mouse or anything.

Things I've tried:

New PSU
New OS on a different HDD
Different RAM
Different Graphics Card

The CPU temp doesn't seem to be giving me any issues so I haven't remounted it.

Can anyone give me any suggestions please?

Hmm. I've heard of this issue when temps. are too high, usually after overclocking too much. However you stated that the CPU temps. are fine, so yeah. Other than that, maybe you have some malware or a virus on your PC. It would be worth doing a virus scan to see if it picks up anything.

I'd recommend using Malwarebytes: http://www.malwarebytes.org/

Thanks - I did a fresh install of the OS incase any viruses were picked up but it's still doing it. :(

I've been getting the same issue, i thought i'd resolved it by reducing the overclock on my graphics cards, it's back though.

As with you i have no temp issues, i've tried all my ram sticks in various combinations, removed non OS HDDs, re-installed windows, tried 1 graphics card at a time, but it still happens, normally when using Firefox, gaming i've had no issues.

I also get a lot of Flash crashes too, so i'm wondering whether that's linked to it.

Strange, I use firefox on the PC it's happening on and it mainly does do it in Firefox but it has done it in Minecraft aswell.

Maybe a browser change could be a crazy last resort...

Many suggestions. Of of them: bent pin in CPU socket, they are extremely fragile and many people can't even notice bending them during CPU reseating.

try with vcore volt response set to fast and pwm phase control set to extreme performance in the bios

also with 16gb of memory try with 1.10v cpu/vtt and enable x.m.p for your memory if it supports it
