Pc keeps on turning off

Hi guys all of a sudden my pc turns off when loading the blue screen on windows xp. Ive had the pc for about 1 year and the only thing ive upgraded is the graphics card from using a radeon x1600 pro to a bfg 8800 gts 640mb which was about 4 months ago. Its takes about 4 times to actually load windows can you help what other info do I need to post?

are you able to try the old card back in the system ?

any system info you can come up with would be helpful, name of power supply , what wattage it is, what motherboard are you using.

google for a program called cpu-z might help identify you're motherboard if needs be.

have you changed anything recently on the system, used any new graphic card drivers etc ?

its either the graphics card drivers or the PSU isnt powerful enough. Try using driver cleaner then re-install the nvidia drivers

does the system boot up ok into safe mode ?
