PC Keeps Restarting

Hi im having an issue with my PC. It keeps restarting. Sometimes it will last 3 hours but typically its only about 10 mins before it restarts. Recently it sometimes cannot even boot up and just keeps restarting before BIOS or Windows login screen loads.

Mobo is Z87-G43 and cpu is an i5 haswell

I thought at first it was the Power supply so I have bought and fitted a new one but the problem persists (although after fitting it stayed on the longest time without resetting in a while, probably a coincidence?)

I read that some people were getting this issue with a dodgy CMOS battery so I have replaced that too but problem is still here.

Ive removed 3 of the 4 ram sticks (4th is hard to access) and then tried booting with just 1 stick but problem persists.

Do you have any ideas what it could be / what I can test?

Thanks

Hmm thanks :) could be temps

I was just using it for about 1 hour no problems then it starting resetting every few seconds and could not even make it to login screen

Ill give it a few hours and see if it it works for long enough to check temps

Left it for a few hours to let it cool down. It wont stay on without restarting for more than like 10 secs after logging into windows so I dont think its anything to do with temps.

When it resets it makes a click sound if that helps?

Any ideas?

Thanks

Ssd or not?
Clicking noises are 99% hdd as they are your only moving part, except fans, check to see there isn't a wire stuck in a fan which is shorting it. Otherwise the hdd is fubar. Can't read data so restarts. (could be a driver issue, try safemode) That said it should sit comfortably in the bios for eternity if it's hdd.
Bios will have a system temperature sensor somewhere. (if that doesn't load you probably need to reseat the cpu with new thermal paste.

The OS is installed on a SSD.

Cant see any wires in fans.

Got into the BIOS for a few seconds and it says temps are at 35 degrees so not high.

Not sure what else to check?

Hmm. That is strange. Must be a component then not Windows if it's crapping out in the bios.
My next step would be to take it all apart and start with one stick of ram in and the graphics card. See if it will the at least stay in the bios. If not then change he stick, of still nothing your going to need other bits to test which is broken.

So I noticed it would restart much more often with the graphics card in than without so I tried a higher watt psu.

This i thought fixed the problem and it was completely fine for a few days but it has started again?

This is so weird and I cant figure it out but it must be power related in some way?

I have tried different sticks of ram and it keeps restarting

Boot a live Linux DVD and browse the web for a few hours.

I've had windows do this before for no good reason, restoring a backup fixed it for me, but a live disk will prove out hardware

hes said its restarting even in Bios so I wouldn't think Windows would be the culprit here.

Have you tried pulling the board out of the case and building it up with the SSD and use the onboard Graphics and seeing how long it will run?
if you still have the motherboard box place it on top of this to try it.
