I'm having probs with my PC

Running windows XP
Athlon ~1600 I think
1GB Ram 266

I've re-started the computer this morning and it's acting really strangely.

It will freeze for about a minute even right from the word go before getting into windows then unfreeze for a few seconds. Then freeze again for a minute or so.

I've tried re starting it a few times and this is still happening.

Anyone got any ideas what might be wrong?

Cheers

Could be something in your startup items. There are 2 ways of looking into this.

Start > run > type msconfig > press enter > startup tab

or

Start > Run > Type regedit > press enter

navigate to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
and
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Delete the keys thats not valid.
